YM House is an interior design project located in Bintaro, South Tangerang. The idea behind this project is to completely transform the existing house's spatial experience while keeping its structure & footprint. This small opening between the entrance foyer & staircase creates a new connection between the two areas. It breaks the existing boundary & provides an interconnected feeling between the two areas. ? A combination of exposed & finished materials such as wood, exposed plaster, & cement tiles provides a mixture of tropical & industrial vibe in YM House. A large opening on one side of the living room provides extra natural lighting while also enabling cross ventilation. Plus the extra greenery on the garden wall adds a sense of tropicality. ? The second floor houses the private bedrooms & bathrooms. A new built-in wardrobe was added to the master bedroom area. The semi-transparent wardrobe doors provide a more spacious feel to the overall space while also empowering the residents to keep the inside tidy. The master bathroom was also altered, with a wooden framed glass window providing a connection between the bedroom & bathroom area.
